An absolute must try ~> the Chilli ‘Signature’ gin cocktail which is absolutely !!! amazing !!!! I discovered Nam Viet by accident a few weeks ago and I am hooked, I have been returning on a regular basis by myself and with friends. We are all proud to give the street food a five star rating. Try your luck at missing out on one day of the food menu at Nam Viet because I guarantee you’ll never stop returning.
Nem Viet on Mitchell — Bendigo Tried Nem Viet and went for their classic — Chicken Pho, which is kind of a must-try at any Vietnamese place. The broth was light and clear but flavorful, and the chicken was tender with a generous portion. The herbs and bean sprouts on the side added that fresh kick I love. It’s the kind of comforting bowl you’d crave on a breezy day. For dessert, I got the fried ice cream — crispy outside, soft and creamy inside, with a drizzle of syrup and a mint leaf on top. Overall, both dishes were pretty good, simple and satisfying, and the atmosphere was warm and casual — perfect for a quick Vietnamese fix in Bendigo.
Visiting Bendigo for an art exhibition and we found Nem Viet in the centre of Bendigo. The food was perfect for a wintery night, as it warmed us up and tasted fantastic. Great friendly and cheery staff made us feel really welcome.
Nem Viet delivers a satisfying Vietnamese dining experience with impressively fast service — our meals arrived at the table in no time. The menu features a wide range of classics, all presented well and full of fresh flavor. That said, the portion of rice served is quite small, and the prices are on the higher side compared to similar restaurants. Still, the quality of the dishes makes up for it, and the flavors are authentic and enjoyable. The standout for me was the beef spicy pho. The broth was rich, aromatic, and had just the right kick of heat, while the beef was tender and generous. It’s definitely the dish I’d recommend to anyone visiting. Overall, Nem Viet is a little pricey, but if you’re after quality Vietnamese food with speedy service, it’s a great choice.
Had a pho.. pretty tasty. Service was good. Sliced chilli was too mild.
Didn't expect to come across a proper Vietnamese restaurant during my trip to Bendigo. We were the first table in when they opened and service was alright. The servers were nice and gave suggestions. The food was pretty good. We had the Pho, lemon grass chicken, and shrimp spring rolls. All of them were done so well. The Pho was really good, heart warming, and umami. Perfect for a rainy day. The shrimp spring rolls were also perfectly crispy and the shrimp was plump. The atmosphere was just alright. Not sure how clean the place was which is why I just gave it a 3. Also, the music choice of the restaurant jusf doesn't fit.
We had Cabbage salad with prawn, roasted crispy skin pork belly Banh Mi, Prawn fried rice, homemade lemon squash and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything was great and staffs were hospitable. We had an amazing meal and would recommend this place to all.
